The VST extension is a legacy alias for the Truevision TGA format, specifically created by the Truevision Vista series of graphics boards (AT-Vista, NuVista). Like `.icb` and `.vda`, it is structurally a standard Targa file but uses a specific extension to denote its hardware origin.
It is a TGA type 2 or type 10 file. See TGA documentation. The file header is identical to standardized TGA 2.0.
